Kodak has launched their all new EasyShare Max Z990 Digital Camera that has12 megapixels and a 30x optical zoom, which is rather high for a compact consumer digital camera. Nikon has introduced a brand new set of basic lens for its DX shooters. If you own one of Nikon’s DX shooters, then here’s something that will cheer you up. Nikon recently has unveiled a brand new 40mm f2.8 macro (Nikon calls it "Micro") lens in the form of the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G. The recently launched 40mm f2.8 macro lens from Nikon has a price tag of $279.95. Considering the APS-C magnification factor, the lens of the camera has been fitted with the same effectual angle of view that we saw on the 60mm lens on many of the full-frame camera. Some other key specs for the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G includes its immaculate ability to focus as close as to a 7-blade iris and 6.4 inches. In a recent announcement, digital electronics major Panasonic claimed a couple of new Lumix digital cameras, the Panasonic DMC-FZ47 and the Panasonic DMC-LS5. The Panasonic DMC-LS5 is a wide-angle basic point-and-shoot camera, but the DMC-FZ47 is an ultrazoom camera and comes with the ability to physically change settings while recording video. The Panasonic DMC-FZ47 comes with a strong 24x optical zoom lens and is a 12 MP digital camera and 1080i video. The camera is noticeable because of the Create Video mode of it, that lets the user change the exposure settings such as shutter speed and aperture manually. This is something that has not been seen in many of the consumer video camera. We first met with the Olympus PEN E-PL3 a couple of weeks ago, and at that time we were immensely impressed with the camera. The prominent digital electronics major Sony Electronics recently has unveiled two all new cameras for their customers. The two new offerings from Sony are the Sony Cyber-shot WX30 and Sony Cyber-shot TX55.  Both the newly unveiled cameras have been fitted with a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor and comes with capabilities of recording movies in full HD 1080i AVCHD. Measuring only 0.48 thick, the TX55 is being touted as the slimmest HD Camera in the market. The two freshly announced cameras will be available for sale in September. Canon EOS Rebel T3 is the latest entry level digital SLR camera that offers nine-point AF system, 720p high definition movie recording and 63-zone dual metering. It also offers excellent image quality, 12-megapixel CMOS sensor and a Basic+ mode. Instead of introducing new digital SLR cameras at bargain basement prices like Sony and Pentax do, Canon Company conventionally allows its slightly high performance versions gradually fall in price till they are the de-facto entry level models. The image quality is good for the price and offers excellent midrange sensitivity performance. The JPEGs get bit grainy, but remain quite usable through ISO 800. You can’t see images at ISO 3200, but can see some color noise. However, the Canon EOS Rebel provides excellent color reproduction, although in shadowed areas white balance gets slightly cool.
