The all new Sony Alpha SLT-A55V and Sony SLT-A33 promises to deliver immensely fast speeds both for still photography and for video recording, as they makes use of the highly ground-breaking translucent mirror technology. Though, the video recording from the camera is a commonplace among the SLRs since when the feature was introduced for the very first time in the Nikon D90 in 2008. thumbnail
The Fujifilm FinePix S2550HD is yet another entrant in the already flooding segment of megazoom cameras, which are available at a wide range of price points and from small to large sizes all. The 18x zoom Fujifilm FinePix S2550HD comes under the “budget” category and could be bought at less than $250; you can even get the camera for less than $200, as well. That price for a camera that has a lens with its reach is really great. The shooting features of the camera are superb for its class including manual and semi-manual controls. As well as plenty of several burst shooting options. The camera also has an electronic viewfinder, which many of the camera manufacturers have started dropping from their lower-end megazooms. Conversely, though the FinePix S2550HD looks like a shrunken digital SLR, but the shooting performance for the camera is really slow. So it will be hard here to capture the photo of moving subjects like a child or vehicle or even your pet. One another thing worth noticing  [...]

New low end dSLRs from Nikon to have camcorder features

thumbnail
Nikon announced on Thursday that it would make an entry level dSLR which can record video with continuous focus. The Nikon D3100 D-SLR is the successor to D3000, last year’s entry level camera from this company. the D3100 has continuous auto-focus, special HD video recording feature that no other DSLR has offered to date. Till today, the dSLRs could just auto-focus on command but it was quite slot because the processor of the camera had to capture the image info, save and display it on the screen and also auto-focus. The D3100 will be carrying a Expeed 2, a new image processor which can accomplish this easily. But the company didn’t give any specific information about the processor or clock speed. The D3100’s autofocus feature is similar to that of a camcorder but we expect some limitations here because the lens noise will be audible when you refocus or zoom in and out. The only cameras to offer a lens with auto-focus and silent zooming as the Micro Four Thirds. They are much smaller  [...]

Canon Vixia HF R10 review – A Low-Priced Camcorder With Headphone And Mic Jacks

thumbnail
There are a lot of things to be liked about the entry-level Canon Vixia HF R10 or its HF R10 series of "high-definition" camcorders, like its user interface, which clearly is a lot better than most of its expensive sibling. One another impressive thing about this camcorder is the headphone and mic jacks, which are hardly seen in the camera of this class. But the camera gives us flashbacks of the early HD days when most if the camcorders where most of the camcorders where using comparatively low-resolution sensors and for up converting the video from 1440 x 1080 pixel resolution, either in hardware or software, to authentic HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Also, its worth noticing that the Vixia HF R10 is not all that cheap and for its modest price the camcorder lets you capture the video at 1664 x 936 pixels and up converts it into 1920 x 1080 pixels before it saves the video using the AVCHD codec. The camcorder models having internal memory are  [...]

thumbnail
Despite the fact that the 3D movies are suffering from some kind of backlash in the market, the technology vendors are still working towards pushing the 3D content forward. The modern technology vendors are working to compel the modern consumers that the 3D technology in comparison to the 2D technology is what the talkies were in comparison to silent films. The 3D products are entering the market on a regular basis and the latest 3D product among them all to hot the market is Fujifilm's new FinePix Real 3D W3 digital camera.
