Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10 – Review

thumbnail
The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10 that was introduced in late January is the successor to the DSC-H3, which itself entered the market five months back. The only upgrade thatH10 gets is its new bigger 3.0" screen having increased resolution of 230K pixels against 115K, that’s all the difference that you are going to see in these two camcorders. The DSC H10 is the junior partner of Sony’s flagship camera H50 in its 'High Zoom' chain of camcorder. The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10 comes with a 10 x zoom and that too in a relatively compact body for the photographers on a tight budget, and comes equipped with an 8MP sensor. As far as the feature set for Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10 is concerned, the camera has an identical feature set with H3 and in addition it gets Face Detection, HDTV output and Optical Image Stabilization. The H10 will be competing with cameras like Canon SX100 IS and Panasonic TZ5, in a rather narrow bracket of compact cameras having long zoom.

Canon SD1100 – Impressive Image Quality And Performance

thumbnail
The Canon SD1000 was an immensely popular camera from last year, but it wasn’t a big fancy dSLR and neither was a pimped-out super zoom, in fact the camera was Canon's rather understated offering. But Canon came back after overcoming all the shortcomings of the SD1000, and the all new Canon SD1100 flaunts an updated aesthetic design, a different zoom range and most importantly the camcorder comes with optical image stabilization. Among other updates that the Canon SD1100 got is the enhancement of resolution from 7.1 Megapixels to 8 Megapixels. Apart from all these the camera also got some other updated features. So let’s see the camera in detail. Camera Body: The Canon SD1100 gets the same design as its last year’s model that reminded us of the design from the original film Elph with camera’s lens surrounded by a black circle and squared-off edges. But for a change this year

Canon 500d Review

thumbnail
The Canon EOS 500D or the Canon 500d is the latest SLR camera from Canon, and considering the number of EOS cameras available in market we will have to say that the stay for the 500D won’t be easy, and this is what we will be covering here in our canon 500d review. Seeing at the EOS cameras available in market, we would rank the 500D somewhere in between the cameras like the EOS 50D and 1000D / 450D. The camera already is the sixth generation EOS digital SLR camera since the time the EOS 300D was launched in 2003. But during our review we found that the camera has got plethora of upgrades over the time and it has changed significantly, and it’s really imposing to see how the camera has changed over the time. Camera Body: Let’s start the Canon 500d review by having a look at the camera body. So for the people who already have seen the EOS 450D, the 500D will be like a déjà vu. The Canon  [...]

Nikon D40 Review – New Affordable Point-And-Shoot dSLR

thumbnail
Starting our Nikon D40 Review, we would like to tell you that it is a completely new affordable point-and-shoot dSLR from Nikon and most importantly it has a compact body. The camera follows the D50, but is available at immensely low price and having diverse feature set. The most important thing that we found during our review was the fact that Nikon actually has resisted the persuasion to run after the Megapixels and finally have concentrated on developing something which actually is a good camera. The camera comes with a respectable viewfinder, really short viewfinder blackout and short shutter lag. During our Nikon D40 Review we found out that Nikon actually has trimmed some 'less significant features' (for example now you can not change the exposure), but at the same time they have introduced a completely new set of features like custom Auto ISO that we welcomed in the D80. The biggest negative that we found during our  [...]
