Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 – Improved, But Still Deficient
If truth be told, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 has a so much to like about it that, some of the flaws, which unfortunately are serious, seems to appear as even bigger detractions. Starting on a positive node, we would like to say that the camera preserves a lot of pleasing design characteristics of GF1, by incorporating a respectably designed touch-screen interface, and even betters the already quick performance of the camera; and the most importantly, even shooting raw from the camera delivers superb images. But, at the same time the camera suffers from two serious flaws: First being the use of same deprived JPEG processing engine, which spates the Panasonic LX5 and second being the same tantrum-inducing incapability to lock the focus area on camera’s touch screen, just as we saw on G2 and GH2.
