thumbnail
The latest advancement in camera sensors the Fujifilm Super CCD EXR made its debut with the all new FinePix F200EXR 12 megapixel compact. Without going deep into the Fujifilm Super CCD EXR censor we will explain you it in simple words that the Fujifilm Super CCD EXR censor is for enhancing the low-light performance and dynamic range for the point-and-shoot cameras in the market. The reason behind this is the poor performance of the point-and-shoot cameras in these two departments. But this also comes at the cost of resolution and to be very precise the resolution for F200EXR has been compromised, but the design makes up for it and delivers pretty good in both the accounts. In addition the simple usability and feature set of F200EXR makes it just the ideal camera for household shooters. The control layout and design of F200EXR is similar to FinePix F60fd, though the F200EXR is comparatively smaller in size and feels very well constructed. Locate at  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP – water proof camera

thumbnail
Though the Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP, it is not made for serious dive-in shooting. It is more of a beach/pool camera. It is water proof up to ten feet and can stand up two hours consecutively in water. It is only a secondary camera for using in damp, dust or dirty conditions where you do no want to use your precious high end camera. The photo quality and the performance is not that good so get this camera only if waterproofing is important for you. The lens is covered completely in tight glass in order to keep it away from dirt and water. Shutter release and the power button is located on the top of the device, the former is pretty hard to feel when you are taking pictures. It will take some time to get used to it. The back of the camera has a large LCD and a never before seen 2 columns of buttons which are a bit small and placed close to each other. These buttons need acclimation even if you are a veteran camera user. However, once you get used to it,  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix S1500 Review

thumbnail
Fujifilm FinePix S1500 is a camera which is priced a bit steep. The camera is a mixed bag, it has a good features but the price is a turn off. It has a 10 mega pixel rating, costs about $180 but photo quality starts dipping past the ISO 200 mark which is really poor. However on the bright side, it has a 12x zoom lens for taking pictures of distant objects. The battery compartment bulges out to give you a great grip on the right hand side of the device. There dedicated buttons for image stabilization and face detection as well as on/off slider, zoom ring and shutter release. You have to hold the on/off button for a long time to power on the device. The mode dial on the top has 10 main options of shooting. On the left of the device there is a button to switch between the LCD and the Electronic View Finder. Below these are the exposure compensation, menu/OK, F-mode, display and playback buttons. There is also a four way direction pad and changing  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR- Good Inexpensive Camera

thumbnail
F70EXR sports the same features as F200EXR which we saw from Fujifilm in February. The notable differences are that F200EXR had a 5x, wide angle lens but this one has a 10x zoom lens but the exterior remains the same and the price is still pocket friendly. The sensor resolves problems of noisy photos in dim light conditions and dynamic range, which you see in compact cameras. When it comes to performance and quality we will say F200EXR is better than this one. We found the menu system a bit perplexing initially and it took a bit of time getting used to it. The f-mode buttons is underneath the Mode dial and it is used to bring up shooting options menu for the mode that you are in. All other camera controls like light metering, shooting priority, AF mode, image stabilization, continuous options are under the system of main menu and you can reach it by pressing the OK/Menu button which is located at the center of the navigation pad. The secondary settings like time and date, format memory  [...]
