Canon EOS Rebel T3 – Perfectly Fine Entry Level Camera

thumbnail
Canon EOS Rebel T3 is the latest entry level digital SLR camera that offers nine-point AF system, 720p high definition movie recording and 63-zone dual metering. It also offers excellent image quality, 12-megapixel CMOS sensor and a Basic+ mode. Instead of introducing new digital SLR cameras at bargain basement prices like Sony and Pentax do, Canon Company conventionally allows its slightly high performance versions gradually fall in price till they are the de-facto entry level models. The image quality is good for the price and offers excellent midrange sensitivity performance. The JPEGs get bit grainy, but remain quite usable through ISO 800. You can’t see images at ISO 3200, but can see some color noise. However, the Canon EOS Rebel provides excellent color reproduction, although in shadowed areas white balance gets slightly cool.

Canon VIXIA HF G10 – Ideal For Adventurous Snapshooters

thumbnail
Canon’s all new Canon VIXIA HF G10 is the latest offering from Canon and the 1080p camcorder comes with the capability to shoot images at a sparing 2.07 Megapixels, which is a pretty nice thing to have in this case. Though, almost every camcorder that has the ability of shooting still images @12 megapixel incorporates maximum pixels on their sensors in order to get those huge numbers, its nice to see the Vixia getting a CMOS sensor with 61 % more pixels than what we’ve seen in the previous double-memory flagship customer model. The Canon VIXIA HF G10’s 2.07 MP output capability is decent for HD video and the bigger pixels of the camera also absorbs a lot more light for better performance in reasonably dim light conditions. We were happy to see Canon VIXIA HF G10 performing as per its  [...]

Canon PowerShot A1200 – Inexpensive But Effective

thumbnail
Canon almost had abandoned optical viewfinders from its PowerShot cameras; the only that we recall had one was the high-end G12, but all that changed at the CES 2011, when the company announced their all new Canon PowerShot A1200, which was an entry-level point-and-shoot camera having a real-image zoom viewfinder. In addition to the viewfinder the Canon PowerShot A1200 comes with a 12 megapixel and AA-sized batteries. There also is a wide range of shooting options and makes use of an f2.8 28mm-equivalent wide-angle lens having a 4x zoom, and can also capture movie clips in 720 HD-resolution. The only thing that we think is missing from the camera is the optical image stabilization, but the camera does have a viewfinder. Just as most of the camera of this price range, the Canon PowerShot  [...]

thumbnail
The Canon PowerShot A3300 IS is one of the models from the A-series PowerShot lineup of Canon for the model year 2011. The entire lineup comprises of four cameras priced from $89.99 up to $179.99. The feature mix in these cameras is a lot better than the A-series cameras that we saw in model year 2010, and that is one of the reasons why these cameras are a better option to pick over another. The Canon PowerShot A3300 IS that we are covering here is the only model in the lineup to having optical image stabilization, a 3 in LCD and a 5x zoom lens. The camera also is the only camera having a 16 mp resolution, but that doubtfully useful. Considering its price, we will say that the A3300 IS definitely is a superb camera. The biggest problem with the camera although is the sluggish shooting performance. More specifically, the  [...]
