I initially started this blog for covering all types gadgets but I started first some 10-20 cameras and camcorders. The support from readers was excellent and hence I decided to go ahead with just these two. After mobile phones, the most popular gadgets in the markets are camcorders and cameras. I wanted to give people an indepth review of the product so that they would know what they are buying. I also conduct various tests on these gadgets and then blog about them here.

For the cameras, I check out the shutter speed, picture quality, button position (for ergonomics) and performance. I don’t go a lot in to the screen of the camera or camcorder because it doesn’t really matter if the LCD has a high resolution or not. You will probably watch all the videos on a big HDTV anyways. For the camcorders, I blog about the quality of the device and I also write about its storage method. Some camcorders don’t have any memory, some have flash and then there are bulky hard disk based camcorders. Finally, I summarize about the product by giving its pros, cons and nitty gritty. The latter is the final verdict, it says whether the camcorder/camera is worth the buck or not.
