Canon Displays Concept Cameras At Expo

This year’s New York City expo was hosted by electronic major Canon, and the major Camera manufacturer not only hosted the New York City expo but also displayed some of its concept cameras, features and prototypes. The New York City Expo is organized every five years at the Javits Center in Manhattan. Canon showed all its products available in the market, starting from the digital cameras and camcorders, to printers and some less popular products such as X-Ray imaging for healthcare. But the most exciting part of the Expo was the showing of concept devices which gave the attendees a peep of products which Canon might be introducing in the near future. The current camcorders in the market comes with the capability of capturing video up to 1920 x 1080, which also is known as 1080p, or around 2 megapixels. Sony announces new Bloggie Touch pocket video camera

Sony announced a new line up of Bloggie pocket camcorders but they didn’t do to well in the market. Now the company is back with a touch screen which gives a good solid first impression. It will have a three inch capacitive touch screen in a aluminum body. For internal storage, you have options of four GB or eight GB. It has a 1080p sensor which should give good quality videos. There is also a 12.8 megapixel sensor for talking stills. It comes with F2.8 wide angle lens and also a Exmor CMOS sensor. There is HDMI output and built in USB connector. As expected from such camcorders, the Sony Bloggie Touch has plenty of options for sharing the videos and photos on social networking sites like Flickr, Facebook, YouTube and Picasa Web Albums. Toshiba Camileo P20 and S30 pocket camcorders to have touch screens

Our sources tell us that Toshiba is going to launch new Camileo pocket HD camcorders at the IFA and the most intriguing part about it is the three inch touchscreen. Such small camcorders are not known to have touch screens and hence it will be interstesting to see how they do in the market. Both give you video recording at resolution of 1080p but don’t expect the quality to be as good as full fledged camcorders. There is also a 10x digital zoom along with HDMI out. You can connect this camcorder to a large HDTV with the HDMI port. It has 64 GB of internal memory which can store a lot of data. This device will be priced at £139 or $214. Canon Brings Two New Camcorders

Canon has brought two new camcorders, the Canon XF105 and Canon XF100, using the all new Canon XF codec earlier this year. Both the camcorders make use of the same codec that we’ve seen in Canon XF300 and XF305, which debuted at NAB. The Canon XF Codec is an MPEG-2 4:2:2 50 Mbps codec, which delivers complete NLE compatibility, a vigorous workflow and high-definition image quality. Both the camcorders comes with the features which lets them to record 3D content when you pair the two camcorders and both the models record to Compact Flash (CF) cards. The only difference between the two camcorders is that the Canon XF105 comes with gunlock in/SMPTE timecode (in/out) terminals and an industry-standard HD-SDI output.
